There are 2 gaskets on the oil pump. The thick inner one really doesn't matter what you use on it; the aviation sealer would be fine. The thin outer one should be used dry or with only a very thin coating of something on it. You need to be VERY careful not to block that little groove that runs around the face of the pump.
