<x-charset iso-8859-1>Probably now... you now have a nice spare that you want to have and have eliminated or nearly eliminated a key player as the possible problem. Years ago.. I had a 72... when you hit the gas she'd hesitate... then hold it just a bit when the RPM's picked up you could let out the clutch. I gave it 20 minutes of my time one day (all a running driving winter car gets in the middle of the winter) and didnt find the problem. 2 unchecked things were PROBABLY my problem... 1) TIMING! make sure your 72 has BOTH good advance/retard mechanisms working AND that the mechanical advance working and time per Bentley. Jim A has harped on the 72 timing issue as critical before and I believe they hesitate when not right. 2) Throttle switch... afterall, it IS your electronic version of an accelerator pump. pop the cover off, CAREFULLY clean the contacts with a Q tip and alcohol and examine it carefully... there is a full throttle switch contact and an idle switch contact that are operated by little plastic pins,,, those pins can break, so if you have a switch contact in there that never seems to open if closed or vice-versa the pin that is supposed to do so is probably broken off. THEN adjust per Bentley. Keith > I guess it is possible that the "new" pressure sensor could have failed in > the same way as mine, but it seems unlikely.
