Don't twist or put any stress on the pull rod, or use ANY solvent on the can to try to clean it up. They are FRAGILE and I've broken the diaphram in several without realizing it. They are completely different from the more normal advance only cans. > Hey Maybe I am getting the hang of this? This was my next project, removing the > TVS and cleaning it. Just use a VOM on the pins to check out each of the functions. Your 72 has 3: idle switch, multiple pulse enrichment switch (works on the downstroke only), full load enrichment switch. The TVS should be adjusted so that the idle switch is just tripped when the throttle is released and comes off as soon as you touch the throttle. You want to make sure that this happens every time, so it's important that the throttle cable and linkage and the throttle valve shaft are totally free. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
