<x-charset iso-8859-1>hello.
often not done correctly is the cold choke setting with the engine
cold air filter removed open the throttle fully so the fast idle cam comes
into play now take a 1mm feeler and check the gap between the idle screw and
check the gap.
adjusting the gap is acheived by undoing on the two little nuts on
the link arm from butterfly to choke meck . when you undo the bottom one
half a turn do up on the top nut half a turn recheck.
ensure during that the carb does not slip off the fast idle cam !.
also some chokes are faster than others and also the bimetalic
coil inside can have more strength from one to another undo the three little
screws and rotate the choke housing till the gap either side is the same
ignore the little marks on the choke housing if you have too.
ensure that the circular gasket is in good condition that mates
the choke up with its housing as there is a vacume supposed to be felt
within !!! it is doubtfull this will ocur due to the where in the choke arm
linkage where it enters the choke housing but they may be good still .
have a look at the gap let me know how it goes.
