RE: [T3] rust inside the door

I'm beginning to sound like a commercial here: After you have fixed the
leak, you can break all of the loose rust away with a wire wheel, or a wire
brush. Then you can use POR-15 on the rusted surfaces. It is a rust
converting product and will create a vinyl coating stopping further rusting
in the area. This is the inside of the door you are talking about, right?
I wouldn't put this stuff on any surface you intend to finish out, as it is
very hard to sand. They also make a metal prep product that will further
disperse the rust prior to final application.

They should start paying me. :-)

I removed the inside door panel cover on my 1970 fastback recently to
discover that a leaky window molding has proliferated a nasty rust
condition on the lower 1/4 of my driver side door. Is there a good
product out there that I can spray or paint on the problem area that
will neutralize the problem? Thanks!
