I did a lot of work today. I re-installed the FI wiring harness and repaired all of the other electrical connections for the engine. I figured out where everything should go, even relplaced the cold start injector with a spare that works properly. At one point when I turned the key to the "on" position the main relay and the fuel pump relay would go on, then 2 seconds later the pump would shut off. Success!... maybe. I got everything together to try starting the engine and found that the battery needed a little help. OK, I hooked up my battery charger and put it in the boost mode. Tried to start it, didn't quite get there, then discovered that the FI wasn't working properly again. Hmm. I remember asking the list before if it was OK to use the starter boost on our FI cars, and I was told that it is all right. I checked to see if the computer looked fried this time and there was nothing to indicate that. Wow, any ideas? -Rich ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
