hey everyone with sick fuel injection... My daughter bought a '71 squareback in decent shape everything is there.her FI runs good about 85% of the time the other 15% you may as well push it .the problem is it suddenly will loose power drasticly it will sound like the engine is laboring very hard and getting nowhere. then in a minute or tomorrow it will be better. sometimes i can get it to misbehave by winding it out a little farther between shifts. (still under redline i'm sure)well... a friend and i were checking the timing and as he was unplugging the strobe from the battery he noticed a shitty looking wire coming off the positive side . he hounded me about it for a while and just to shut him up i put a new connector on it... well that stupid little wire happens to be the main power for the FI relay(just kinda important 1-10 its an 18! )she now runs beautifully i bet my milage will double was around 10.the engine starts better, idles a little better (still" hunts" for idle sometimes)and power is much better.. just thought everyone with sick FI might check this wire it was a easy fix. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
