[T3] Notchback diary, pt.4...more pics

Hey everyone, I've got three new pics of the Notch
from this AM. Enrique said he's two days of work away
from starting the body work (!), but I just don't
know. So far, all new pans, about 100 holes patched
and welded, sand blasted and priming, new heater
channels cut and welded to fit, hinges repaired, etc,
etc, etc. Pic one (Pass side well) I tried to show the
difference between the two-bolt/three-bolt hinges, but
the old ones had been scrapped last week. I understood
it that the two bolts go through the hinge into a
fixed plate on the A-post, the three bolts go through
the hinge and into a floating plate *inside* the
A-post, and the difference is enough for the door to
be off at least 3-5 mm fore and aft and affects the
way the door hangs in the frame. Or something to that
effect. The two bolt heater channels were taken apart
and made to fit the Notches so that I'll have the
origianl 3-bolt doors and hinges, this added another
10-15 hours to the estimate (yikes!). Pic 2 (rear
three quarter) has the rear valance stripped and ready
for welding. It shows the Agate Brown body that used
to be. All the primed body work is supposed to be
ready to go. Unfortunately, the metal trim that
supports the weather strip is shot and has to be
fabbed. Pic 3 (Dr. side three quarter) is from the
front, once again, lots of work and almost done. AAR,
the engine is in the garage, I'm attempting a
disposable sand blast cabinet for the engine tin,
we'll see if that flies. Stay tuned...
