Subject: [T3] locked glove box

by the way, anyone know of a way to get inside of locked glove box
(without the key, of course).

i've driven my '71 squareback for years and never locked the glove box
(because i had no key for it). but one day it decided to lock itself,
denying my access to the front boot via the release lever, and
subsequently my spare tire, my gas can, as well as the faceplate to my
radio.

i've tried jimmying it with a screwdriver and other similar objects, but
no luck. i'd hate to destroy the glove box by ripping it open from the
underside, and also don't want to fork out the dough for a locksmith.

any clever fixes out there?

jason
