What's the advantage of a > socket-head screw? > Having removed hundreds of these bolts since I began working with VW's, I will give a few words of wisdom... DO NOT use a 6 point allen wrench. Just be sure that all the dirt, and I mean ALL the dirt is cleaned out of the hole. If the bolt hole has had dirt in it, use a hammer to tap the proper tool all the way into the hole. Do Not use a worn tool even if it is the proper one. If the hole is already rounded out by the previous owner, an "easy out" works very well to remove the bolt.
