sorry for the delay in responding. I've been away... looks like I have some catching up to do! I have the mixture screws open just over 2 turns... followed the WEBER Set up and adjustment data I found on the web http://www.redlineweber.com/html/Tech/34_ICT_tunning.htm Perhaps I interpreted it incorrectly, but it seemed to me that the intent is to keep the adjustment as close to 2 turns as possible. if the screw is more than 2.5 turns out, a larger idle jet is required. If less than 1.5, a smaller idle jet is required. I assumed that since my engine was relatively stock (1600cc w/a mild cam), the stock jets and adjustments would work fine. I guess my questions now are, what's the problem with opening the mixture screws more than 2 turns? If opening the screws further (like 3.5 turns at least) works, why do they suggest that new jets are required?
