There is an accelerator pump adjustment - after Aug 65 anyway.  There are 3
holes in the rod to take the split pin.  Centre hole is correct; outer hole
for getting more, inner hole for getting less.  If that's still too much you
can add washers or even bend the rod a bit (so the factory manual says).
