<x-charset iso-8859-1> OH BOY! Carbs and Synthetic oil in the same day... Ill keep this quick.. Synthetic oil, from amzoil, DESTROYED my 10K mi engine in less than 400 miles, for 2 reasons: 1) it didnt transfer heat properly, this problem may be somewhat better with todays synthetic and 2) Its cleansing properties, combined with no oil filter circulated all the neatly stored contaminants through the engine over and over again grinding all the pressure fed bearings to death. The synthetic manufacturers, and I believe even the most faithful users will agree with one thing: You CANNOT use synthetic without full flow filteration. and heck! you get 125K out of a properly built and maintained Dyno engine anyway, why take the chance? your valves wont last longer than that anyway.
