It might help to have 2 people. Go for a drive to warm up everything then 
come home and leave the engine running. Lift the back seat and, with the 
voltmeter set on DC volts, put the 2 proble across the battery. Rev the engine 
to medium RPMs and hold it steady while you read the meter.

The reading should be 14.1-14.4V. If it is less than 13.5V replace the voltage 
regulator with a genuine Bosch.

Low system voltage will make the FI run rich. This won't bother a warm 
engine, but a warm engine won't care for this and will miss.
