I used rubber from type 1 scrapers (OEM, salvaged from a restored 1965
Type 1 that I rolled in my young and foolish days) and trimmed the
length at the vent wing end to fit. I don't know if it's still possible
to buy late Beetle outside scraper rubber without the aluminum trim. I
think late bus scraper rubber would also work. Both have the right
profile and the same upward curve where the scraper meets the B pillar.

I just read Phil's post about a HVWs article detailing how to modify
Type 1 scrapers to fit a Type 3. Since they're available for about $40US
each I think it might be the best way to go. So Phil, how are those
scans coming along?
