Thanks for confirming. <<Where are you? Is there anyone nearby with one of the FI tester boxes? >> I am in Long Beach Ca. Do not know of anyone around me with a tester box. But here are some new developments; I hooked up the Tach to extension cables, placed it on the pass. seat and drove around the bolck. As the car began to buck and hesitate, I looked at the tach. and the needle was steady and not fluctuating! This , to me, is proof that the problem is not in the engine, and is an indication that I should be looking into other drivetrain components i.e CVs, clutch, tranny, or maybe even the front end. I will repeat that test today to be sure, but I have no clue where to go from there. The initial incident that triggered (maybe) this problem was fixing a fuel line leak and involved lifting the left side of the car. Thats all! Thanks to all the advice. hisham 70 sq. ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
