You've clearly come a long ways with your Type 34, and you are > obviously aware that you still have quite a lot of work ahead of you. Thanks. It's a tough job but somebody has to do it ;~) I actually got to really drive the car for the first time a couple of days ago, after I installed the drivers seat. Previously I had only moved the car at a crawl around the driveway. This was the first time I had actually heard the gears changing as I accelerated. Everything seemed fine, it went in a straight line, it stopped when I pressed the pedal, it steered OK. It appears to have a tendency to overheat which I've got to look into. As to lots of work ahead of me, well I've got to finish the wiring, service the brakes (they work but I haven't given them any attention yet. the handbrake doesn't work), get a new exhaust and rebuild the cooling system, complete the upholstery, add the remaining missing rubber and glass, etc. etc. etc. so yes, there is still plenty to do. I estimate that I should have it fully licensed and tested in about a year to 18 months. > Maybe someone here as some quarter windows they would be willing to part > with. ;-) Windows are on the way.
