<x-flowed>Put the jack stands under the torsion tubes. Place the stands outboard as
much as possible for stability. When you jack the car up make sure you are
jacking it from a proper location. With low cars this usually is a pain in
the arse. If the stock jack mounts are there you can use it, Or you can jack
it up by the rear shock mount (one side at a time obviously).

My Squareback is somewhat low in the rear. I need to replace the battery
cable, therefore, I need to get to the starter. I was going to get some
jack stands. Where should I place the stands? Thanks.
P.S. If you can't tell, I'm fairly new to cars (or at least working on
them).
