Nothing drastic and no holes through the fan housing. To make it work without clearancing, you have to use a variety of street elbows. Berg only supplies one style. > You can't reindex the distributor driveshaft with the mechanical fuel pump > installed. Duh-Oh! Really? I'm trying to imagine how the pump would keep the driveshaft from coming out, and yet still allow the dist to fit in place. I don't see how this could be.... > My engine swap timing was good. Do you plan to do a post mortem soon? If so, let us know what you find. > can I use a 12 volt inductiove timing light with my 6 volt system if I power > the light from a remote 12 volt battery or my battery charger? It is a new seal. Will have to drop the engine and check it out. Could be the seal if the flywheel was dry and it burned the seal before the oil got to it on the first startup. I always put some oil or grease on the nose of the flywheel when installing it, so that there is lubrication there right from the start. The leak could also be the cam tunnel plug, which would be much worse news. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
