Anyway,
Just in the middle of all my FI problems, I get a phone call from my local
VW repair shop. Now mind you I recently told them I was going elsewhere
with my buisness because of multiple issue I had with my Jetta, not my
fastback. Anyway, the guy says he is getting rid of all his type 3 parts
and wants to sell them and was giving me first crack because of our past
relationship. One complete engine that ran when he took it out and another
partial engine and boxes of parts all for $150. So even though I have no
where to put them, I think I may go for it, I still have to go check it out.
I will let you know what there is in the next few weeks, so you guys can see
if it is anything you need.
I was blown away when I got the call, I always liked the owner, I just
wasn't satisfied with the service. I guess I'm glad I did not burn that
bridge too badly.
Now I got to convice my wife that we can keep it all in the basement.
