[T3] the t-3 sqback is my first car i need help

        IM sixteen and i just bought my first car,  a 1972 vw type-3 
squareback for $400  
 and i just don't know where to start, the engine doesn't run but for the 
most 
 part the cars in good condition.  i was told the engine is ceased,  i planed 

 on pulling the engine but  i don't know where to start  or how i should go 
 about it.  i bought the book  "how to rebuild your Volkswagen air-cooled 
 engine"  IM sure it'll help but i just  lost and my funds are low so IM 
 trying to figure out  the best  may with the lowest cost in doing this.
        so if you can help in anyway with info or if you know anybody in 
southern california which is near Bakersfield ca.  just north of LA  that can 
help I'd appreciate
