The B means extended tip compared to the A.

The heat range is the 5 which is WAY off for our engines. I don't remember 
which way it goes, whether 5 is hotter or cooler than 8. Somehow, I think 
these are cooler.

Most people don't understand what this really means. The goal in the end is 
to get your plugs to run at some temp, which happens to be the same for all 
engines and conditions. You choose "hotter" plugs to bring the insulator 
temp up, while "cooler" plugs bring the temp down. You adjust until they run 
at the right temp.
