Can you throw a blanket or a pile of dirty clothes on top of it, or is it just true that in NYC they will break into you car to steal ANYTHING? > Removing the ecu is not the problem, its opening it to get to the wires > they're talking about testing. Yes, you would have to remove the ecu and open it and pull out the plug. It will only seem mysterious the first time, but eventually it will seem quite natural. It only takes a minute to connect the tester if the brain is already loose, but I realize that this is not something that anyone would want to do every time they went out to the car.
