If the CSV was squirting extra gas, while trying to start a warm engine, there would be too much gas and it would be hard/impossible to start. Depending on what was wrong, the CSV might be squirting all the time the fuel pump was running, or just while trying to start. If it was going all the time, it would certainly have a negative effect on gas mileage. Has anyone done any work on the starter since we installed this engine here? If so, miswiring of wires on the starter can cause problems like this, but they usually mean that you don't get the 2 relay clicks (separated by ~1 second) when you turn the key ON. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
