I always just eyeball it ... usually use my pinky to adjust the disc 
location, but the last time around I used a long 3/8 extension and swore to 
never smash my finger with a hammer again. =)   Tighten the pressure plate 
just enough that the disc doesn't flop around easily, and take your time.
