Re: [T3] Gearbox input shaft seal

<x-charset iso-8859-1>The best centering tool is the rear main drive shaft from another trans. I
have been using one since it's unceremonious exit from the trans in my '67
beetle. The front and rear drive shafts are splined where they meet and are
held together with a screw. The reverse gear slides over the splines and is
held in place by a circlip thus preventing the shafts from unscrewing.
Unless your circlip breaks...

The clutch replacement on my 1964 Notch has come to an unforeseen halt
because I can't find my clutch centering tool. I have been looking for
two days now and if I don't find it today, then it would have been
faster to order a new one... :-(
