Re: [T3] New listee, new T3
<x-flowed>Do the things you propose (fresh oil, hand-turn the engine, adjust valves,
etc.). Might be a good idea to use fresh fuel and change the fuel filter.
Fresh battery, too. I wouldn't fuss with injector seals yet; they're
probably fine.
Note that the fuel injection is also probably just fine as well. Just make
sure the valves, timing, and fuel system are good. This includes
eliminating any crud in the fuel tank. You will probably want to replace
all fuel lines at some point very soon - certainly before it officially hits
the road. You will need about 25ft of fuel line to do the whole car. 5/16"
fits nicely. And don't be paranoid about the fuel pump; no need to
disconnect.
Others will be sure to point out that you NEED a Bentley manual for this
car. For example, your '72 has special timing procedures that are covered
only in that manual. A lot of the help that you get here on the list will
be written assuming you have access to the Bentley. Some here have them for
sale used. Good luck with the car. You'll LOVE how it drives.
