<x-charset iso-8859-1>Having owned a 914 I must add my .02 cents: Their heating system is far better than ours and putting in an oil heater is illogical. A 914 has 3 to 4 times the volume to heat the air and dump it in to a far smaller space! Anyway, if putting a oil heater in our cars I would recommend installing an oil thermostat so only when the oil is hot enough will it circulate thru the heater core in the cabin. I agree w/Greg, a gas heater is a much better solution after fixing the stock system.
