Well I have a few different gas heater setups-- the bn2 setup that goes in the front trunk of the t3, the ba4 that goes above the transmission underneath the car (requires the access plate to actually be cut) that was installed on late type 3's in Canada and on type 4's (we have 4 of these, and of every flavor), and a custom setup that my friend and I did on his fastback-- mounting a ba4 underneath the back seat and using bilge blowers for recirculating the air (f.y.i. car goes from about 20-30 F to 100 F in 3+ minutes). I'm about to do the install of the under the front hood model on my square soon, but I can answer any questions about the custom under the back seat setup and take pictures if anyone is interested). Off topic: does anyone have a functional thermostat on their unit- seems that every unit I have seen (and been told by the type 4 connection that they have seen the same on dozens of units) the thermostat to keep the unit operating in the proper temp range doesn't work- it just goes till the safety cutoff kicks in- gets so hot the powdercoating or similar looking coating gets scorched.
