Just a thought about the 395 route up to Parma...... 395 to Reno along the Nevada/California state line is nice.... and very deserted past Bishop. Many steep hills but in the Sierra's. Now, 395 North of Reno is another story during the summer. There are many lakes but half of them are DRY lakes. Hummmm, wonder why. Well, it gets well over 100 Deg F in the summer..... plus elevations of over 7000 feet with a few tossed in at just over 8000 feet. Southwestern Oregon is not a place that is nice to aircooleds either in the summer. So, 395 is not the magic route that it seems......... 95 has less mountains to twist around through and is the same temp. I originally mentioned that it might be a good idea to travel from Reno to Parma in the evening and night..... nothing to see out there anyway. We can rest up in Reno, play a little if one wants, nap, and be in Parma in the morning. Temps will be at least 15 F cooler at night... probably 20F. Face it, that section of the USA is not a prime Micro Climate designed to keep aircooleds happy..... Just like Phoenix or Palm Springs...:+) Just some thoughts, ok I will go to my room and shut the door now, yes and stand in the corner....Flat4Pat ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
