<x-charset iso-8859-1>Your fuel filter may be clogged again. Check the condition of the inside of your fuel tank, including the little sock filter in there. With the fuel tank empty (or nearly empty), pull the sender off and look inside with a bright flashlight. Any rust/crud in the tank? What is the condition of the fuel "overflow" hose by the filler neck? If it is cracked, you may be getting water in the fuel. This is the first thing I had to fix on both of the Type3s I've owned in the last few years. Did you add the injector cleaner at the time you had your mechanic play around? Maybe the mechanic installed your fuel filter backward? Or kinked the lines up around the fuel filter? You can also check the condition/operation of the injectors easily enough. See Bentley manual for the procedure. Mark Fuhriman ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe </x-charset>
