My price for repairing non-functional odometers is $55, including return shipping. In the process of doing this the speedometer will get lubricated, which will fix the squealing, IF the problem is in the speedometer itself. Note that this noise problem is more often actually in the speedometer cable, however. The odometer problem is across the board in VDO speedometers. While this price is for a type 3 unit, I can do others as well. The price may vary depending on how difficult it is to get inside the unit. Some speedometers are an open frame construction and are easy (Mercedes & BMW) while others are impossible (Porsche.) I don't know about buses. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
