Sorry, I was looking at mail and not the website and missed your
post asking essentially the same question.  And also "not any
sources" was a bad way to put it on my part--I was wondering more
in terms of whether one could just give, for example, rocky mountain 
motorworks a call and get a good set of ball joints--I see the answer is no. 
  Better head down to my local shop and see if they have any old
stock laying around.

More generally, for the paranoid among those of us new to the mailing list 
it would be interesting to discuss a "top ten" list of
crucial not-easily-replaceable type III items.
