Any brand should be fine. I think the V-angle is standardized. The correct 
size for 12V type 3s is 9.5 x 1000. The Beetle uses a different length.  

I think Keith has the Gates part # that will work.  

BTW, the most important thing to get long life out of your type 3 belt (and the 
generator bearings) is to NOT overtighten the belt.
