I can't remember where we left this last, but your engine is laid out like this:
3==|||==1
4==|||==2
While the SP wires on the dist cap should be wired like this:
3 2
( + )
4 1
Does this look like how your cap is wired?
I don't think this is a valve adjustment problem, nor is it caused by the
timing. But it is still a good idea to get a timing light so that you can get the
engine timed properly, eventually.
