This is a common problem brought about by water and rust. It may take 2
people to do this. On in the back seat to push on the seat bottom with his
feet and another to hold the seat release, and also the extra release that the
seat will run against as it gets close to the front of its travel. This latter is at
the front of the inner rail; you have to hold it down with a screwdriver to allow
the seat to pass over it.

In addition to the person pushing from the back, the BFH may also be
necessary. You may also want to reach under the seat and verify that the
seat release is working.
