<x-charset iso-8859-1>In my opinion anyway... this is what KILLS T3 motors!! people start messing with the mixture... haphazardly... or think they will get more power from more carburation on a stock motor and if they do its because something was WRONG in the first place. Mixture is critical, too lean and detonation, holes in pistons, overheating, too rich and diluted oil, ring and bearing wear. You may still get 60 to 70 K out of them but this is half what you should. If stock, you need to stay with stock mixture (carbs or FI) if upgrading do your homework.. its a long process to determine just what will give the correct mixture with a certain build, unless someone else has the exact same build and has set it up properly already. Ive been setting up my Notch 1679 with STOCK carbs for 2 years now, with the help of the carb experts, Im still working on the warmup curve.
