<x-charset iso-8859-1>hello all. well after a couple of weeks away i came back yesterday to find 356 emails from the list and must admit i have not read a lot of it yet . hope everybody had a well earned break and a good festive season. i can safely say i am very impressed with my eberspacher bn2 it is fitted under my front bonnet and is my only method of windscreen demisting .. during the restoration of the body of my car the po decided to weld in all the heater channels so to get heat from the back of the car would have been very difficult for me entailing reopening the heater channels wich are now in a figure 8 section or plumbing in pipes elsewhere down the centre tunnel like earlier cars or so! my heater puts in on the left hand side to a plenum chamber that has a diffuser on it to allow heat to the cabin in general(a point to note here the diffusers keep falling apart ) and the rest is branched of in 30mmm hoses to 3 demist outlets for my screen it works exceptionally well. i do still have heat exchangers these run with short hoses to the outlets under the back seats and will heat the car as well after it has been running for a while. my future intentions is to increase the demist outlets to 5 and the size of the plenum chamber as well as i feel it is a bit restrictive to the amount of air that the heater can flow . another point to note with the temp set to minimum it can be used as a fresh air blower in the summer as well but i tend not too as that is what vent windows where made for !! im of now to catch up on the reading. if your looking for an eberspacher type in standheizung at ebay germany there is always shed loads of them available in fact i may and go look there myself now. take care all. 1966 typ 3 sqr with fitted irs pan. soon to run 2ltr + typ 4 power. off the speedo in germany if i can. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
