[T3] Draft Tube Leakage?

.....Quick question. Is it normal for your draft tube to leak oil? >>

Jason - just trouble-shot this exact same problem on my '72, day before
yesterday.
Where is yours leaking from? By the base, or the cap? Can you watch it leak
steadily, or does some oil just spray out every now & again?
Mine kept blowing the cap off, and then blasting some oil out like a whale's
blowhole, every time the revs went up.
I fiddled with a bunch of stuff, and it stopped the problem - but I'm not
sure exactly which bit of fiddling actually did the trick.
 - make sure you're not running too much oil
 - make sure your cooler's not plugged up
 - service/clean both plunger-type oil pressure valves in the bottom of the
crankcase
 - clean/replace all hoses from rocker boxes, breather, air intake
 - In the very top of the breather, there's a teeny passage between the inlet
& outlet sides (visible if you pry up the smaller cap)... a shot of WD40 will
tell you if it's clear.

Hope this is helpful.
