<x-charset iso-8859-1>Im still evaluating various scenerio's of using POR 15 under my salty 87 Golf... I should have some results when I CAN SEE THE SURFACE AGAIN underneath the car in the spring! I have noticed that, one coat is insufficient... starts showing rust again almost right away... but doesnt seem to get really bad to fast. TWO COATS IS A MUST. What disturbs me about this article is that they are talking about problems with POR 15 used over surfaces that are sandblasted clean... how bad must this be if your Painting Over Rust?? even with the sinc coat. They are correct however, that sandblasted metal, expecially in humidity, will show rust again in hours. All of the sudden I'm starting to panic about whether or not my Square's floorpans were completely dry before I painted them with POR15.... > > http://www.por15.com/faqs/faqmoist.html > > Any comments? > > Jim Bowen > '72 Square > > ------------------------------------------------------------------- > Search old messages on the Web!
