If the ATF fluid (dipstick at the FRONT of the engine) is between the two marks with the engine running and the AT in P or N, then it sounds like you have enough fluid. The only other think I can think of checking would be to drain the ATF, remove the pan and check the filter screen. It's possible that something is clogging it up and keeping fluid from getting thru. You could also check the torque converter and make sure that it is securely bolted to the drive plate and that the whole assy. moves together as the engine rotates. Does this engine/tranny make any nasty noises?
