<x-charset iso-8859-1>I did this to solve the tunes problem: Now, I like my car to look authentic, but it's my daily driver, so I'm not willing to give up the Grateful Dead. I went with new speakers mounted in the Innovations in Fiberglass kick panels installed with screws and spray adhesive to make the carpet look right, but I kept an original, non-functioning Sapphire XI ($5 at the junk yard) in the dash. The chrome looks great on my original '68 Fastback's dash. But underneath my seat is an Aiwa CD/CD-RW/MP3 receiver deck with an IR repeater mounted almost invisibly under the dash. The control for the Aiwa is a small, semi-circular remote that attaches to the steering wheel very unobtrusively.
