<x-charset iso-8859-1>When Charlie Whitney set up the speakers in my Squareback (it was his then...), he used the accessory parcel tray and attached wood panels which he then screwed Vanagon rear speakers to. Vanagon's had nifty rear speaker housings which hung down from the ceiling in the rear, but make nice front speakers. As for the rear, he set up wires with quick release attachments and used some surface mount 3-way speakers from Radio Shack. I never heard the system in action, and have been living with the mono Sapphire V AM radio until I decide what I'm doing with the Squareback. I would prefer a vintage type vs a new other model such as a Golf. The belts in my 70 square are 31 years old and questionable. Also, tunes are needed...I'm not going to cut anything, but want to place speakers where they will work well. Any thoughts on type and/or location. A company called Innovations in Fiberglass was mentioned, where do these speaker panels mount? Anyone know of a contact #.
