<x-flowed> Next weekend I'm flying off to retrieve a VW and drive it back home (about 700 miles), and I am gathering together my minimum set of tools and spares. I'm planning on taking my road trip gear as checked luggage. I haven't flown since August. For anybody who has, would you guess that a load of tools, a pocket knife, multimeter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, voltage regulator, distributor, fuel line, hose clamps and the like would cause a fuss going through luggage inspections? I'm guessing that my most likely difficulty would be somebody who didn't recognize what some of this stuff was, and decided to hold it up. Any thoughts? I still have the time to 2-day UPS this gear ahead of me, but would rather spend that money on a nice tub of carnauba wax and avoid the time of boxing up and shipping the gear. -Greg ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
