What is the difference between the early "VW" logo and ones used right up until the 1973 model year?<< I've seen one of these early badges. They're similar but thinner and without the groove in the circle surrounding "VW". A completely different casting that may have had a different mounting. 1961-62 Type 34s had a completely different front badge that was a vertical trapezoid containing the VW circle logo and "1500". Highly sought after and very hard to find in good condition.
