I have a BMW 600, which has essentially the same engine, and I've often
reflected on the similarities with the Typ3 -- crank-mounted fan, fan shroud
directs air to the heat exchangers, closed tin. You're not quite right in
the basic description, however -- it's *two* cylinders opposed. 700 is the
(rough) displacement. It's also sort of upside-down, with the cam and
pushrods on top.
