Thanks Steve and Jim.

 I went to the site that you suggested and found  a lot of pointers. Jim
the computer hatch lid was installed improperly just like you said.
Waited a few days to get started on the job  in hopes that someone else
could  give me some kind of idea as to what to expect. So  I started
cutting the  old rusted metal away using a small air powered cutoff
tool. I will go ahead and drill out the 1 million or so spot welds from
the floor on  my donor car. The area under the rusted out  floor  area
has only  surface rust  so I will prep it and coat it with POR-15 and
spot weld the "new" section on. Looks like a very busy job but a
necessary one! Guess I should photo document my progress just incase
someone might have to do the same job in the future. : )
