OK, The B. was running fine. Didn't drive all weekend, tried to take her out today, nothing. Same problem; engine turns over but won't "catch". >Try this: Get in the car and close the door. >Listen while you turn the key ON. You >should hear a click as the key goes ON >and another about 1 second later. >If you hear both of these clicks your FI >system is probably working. Tried this and I did hear both clicks. >If you have someone to help you, then, >with the key ON, they should listen near >the RF tire. Between these 2 clicks they >should hear a buzz from the electric fuel >pump indicating that it is running. Didn't hear any buzz. >Then have them go to the back and listen >to the engine while you press the throttle >slowly down. They should hear a series of >clicks as the throttle goes slowly down Yes, heard those clicks. >but nothing as you let the throttle back up. When it went up, I heard a series of clicks, softer and quieter than the ones made on the way down. >It is quite possible that the problem is lack >of spark. Take a paper towel or Kleenex >and wipe out the inside of the dist cap. Did this, also looked for anything loose, broken or dirty in there; everything looked nice and clean. Also cleaned off the top of the coil (which, BTW, is Bosch and black, with a copper top). Also checked for sparks coming from wires, coil, etc. in the dark, didn't see any. Weather was wet when I put her away after last drive, but is dry now. Any ideas?
