>From: Rob Carpenter <brnagn7@yahoo.com> >Most people are afraid to part with their beloved >car, and will place a sentimental price tag on it >hoping (in their heart of hearts) that no one will >really buy it. (unless of course the sentimental price >is met). > Nah, most people with high-priced VWs just jack up their price to see what will happen. I've seen cars on the Internet that were $1-$2k more than the price they were asking at a show. That doesn't happen a lot, but it happens. Same with the Pomona swap meet, I've seen for sale signs where people taped over the price they actually wanted and put a price $500-$1k higher just for Pomona. At least use a different sign... There was recently a Single Cab at Pomona for $5000, the guy had it at a show a couple months earlier for $3500. It didn't sell at Pomona but sold a bit later for below the original price. It never hurts to try... -- Everett http://www.thesamba.com ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
