[T3] PPG single stage or base coat/clear coat?

Hello Listees,

I am about to buy paint for my '63 Notch, and I want
to use the original Anthrazit L469.

I have decided to use PPG, but I went to the store
today and the guy is telling me with that color he
only has the formula for a single stage paint, the two
stage is has to match it, (perhaps to the ashtray).

I want the original color, but Im thinking I want a
better-than-factory finish.

Of course the two stage is like $130 more but at this
point the money isn't a factor.

I guess it's up to you guys to help me with my
decision. I'm looking for opinions from the
opinionated, and also from people w/ past, present
experience.I've heard that the clear coat really makes
the job, and I at first was sold on the two stage, but
the guy behind the counter told me the single looks
fine on old car, and simulates more of the
factory-look.
